On Wednesday 28 January 2009, the club held the first grading examinations for this year for all members. Twelve students underwent the grading under Sabomnim Stephen Formosa's supervision. They had all succeeded the test and are now ranked as follows:

Kids
Yellow Tab: Jadyn Portelli
Green Tab: Brandon Borg & Chloè Vassallo
Green Belt: Michael Baldacchino & *Duncan Munro
Blue Tab: Jesred Piscopo
Red Tab: Lynsey Fenech

*Duncan Munro obatained the highest mark of 74% amongst the kids.

Juniors & Seniors
Yellow Tab: Mauro Busuttil, Piero Camassa & Piere Luigi Merola
Green Tab: Ian Gatt
Blue Belt: *Irina Atanasova

*Irina Atanasova obatained the highest mark of 76% amongst the juniors/seniors.
