The Malta Taekwondo Fedration held the 19th National Kyorugi Championship on Saturday 1st May 2010 at St. Martin’s College, Swatar. The Taekwondo Dragon Club was represented by 5 athletes all competing in their respective category. Lynsey Fenech, Chloe and Kyle Vassallo won their respective category. Mauro Busuttil faced a more experienced opponent against whom he gave a very good performance managing several times to execute good head shots. Jesred Piscopo had to compete in a category of 4 entries in which he lost his first bout.

Moreover Davinia Abdilla Spiteri, Gabriel Borg and Julien Pham Xuan acted as corner judges and Stephen and Josianne Formosa (club instructor) acted as center referees too. Josef Spiteri acted as a coach.

By the end of the event the President of the Malta Taekwondo Federation, Mr Joseph Azzopardi, presented a certificate of participation to all, whilst all winners were presented with a trophy too.
