On Sunday 1 March 2009 the Malta Taekwondo Federation held the national Poomsae Championships. The Taekwondo Dragon Club was represented by 10 of its athletes as follows as per the respective category:

Gabriel Borg - Senior 'B'
Maura Busuttil - Senior 'C'

Another 3 clubs had participated in this event amongst which the TDC won 4 categories out of 9. This place our club on top of the clubs' rank in this championship
