The Malta Taekwondo Federation held the 18th National Kyorugi Championships on Sunday 17 May 2009 where all 4 official clubs fielded their athletes.

Taekwondo Dragon Club did the best once again in this competition, where had participated with 9 athletes and managed to grab 7 wins out of 13 categories, as listed below:

4. Michael Baldacchino Cadet B +58Kgs

7. Josef Spiteri Senior A -72Kgs

Winners were presented with trophies and certificate of participation.

During this event, the Malta Taekwondo Federation (MTF) donated the club with 4 kicking targets being assistance for 2009. Furthermore, Josianne Formosa and Stephen Formosa were presented respectively with Dan certificates issued from the European Taekwondo Union (ETU).
