Josianne Formosa started her training in 1995 under the guidance of her husband Stephen Formosa. She carried out her first grading examination under the supervision of Master Seo Myung Soo. She continued her colour belt (Kups) grading examinations by Sabomnim Stephen Formosa and her 1st and 2nd Dan were directed by Dr. Christopher Vella.

Since then, she has been helping in the club as an assistant instructor, and is responsible of the club's finance and administrative work. She served as the Treasurer in the MTF Executive Committee and presently, she holds the position of Secretary General.
